Rhonda T. Dunn
489/689 Assignment 2:
Due by end of day on February 10
1. Read through the web pages
created by your fellow students -- a link to the list of pages is now
available from the course's homepage and here.
Read for common interests, reasons for taking the course, etc.
Create a new web page -- linked
from your existing web page -- describing these common themes with links to
the common elements. Email the new URL to me by the end of February 10.
General Description of Common Themes: For the
most part, I only had high level media interests in common with my
classmates. It could be the age difference but I do not play computer games;
my music genres of interest are different; and I honestly do not know how to
TIVO. The media interests I do have in common with the majority of the class
are: television, Internet, e-mail, instant messaging, radio, and
telephone.
As far as personal information is concerned, I noticed
several students had a double major in Math/Computer Science, as I do.
Furthermore, a few students had interdisciplinary interests primarily in the
humanities, a key interest of mine, as well. Of course, several students
(and I) have
taken common graduate courses in the Computer Science Department of TAMU.
For details on the commonalities found, please reference the lists below:
